MILFORD — Milford Housing Development Corporation has been awarded to administer the Statewide Emergency Repair Program through Delaware State Housing Authority.
MHDC will be the single point of contact for the program and operates in all three counties in Delaware.
SERP addresses emergency conditions threatening the health or safety of eligible Delaware Homeowners. Qualifying repairs include heating system repairs (winter months), plumbing repair (non-functioning), electrical repairs (in hazardous cases), roof repair or replacement (for active leaks), major structural repairs or urgent accessibility modifications.
To qualify for assistance, must have valid proof of home ownership, currently reside in home for at least one year, meet income guidelines, housing condition must be an immediate health or safety threat, other restrictions may apply.
