Community Bank Delaware donates to Lewes for Juneteenth celebration

LEWES — Community Bank Delaware presented the city of Lewes with $1,000 in support of the 2nd annual Juneteenth Celebration.

The Lewes African American Heritage Commission and the city of Lewes’s primary objective for the annual family celebration is to educate and preserve the history of what Juneteenth represents: the liberation of slaves and to honor the African American achievements and culture.
