The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce is awarding grants to nonprofit organizations that are also chamber members through a new fund at the Delaware Community Foundation.

These grants will enhance the chamber’s mission of bringing tourism and business to southeastern Delaware, Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Lauren Weaver said.

“The Delaware Community Foundation was highly recommended to the chamber from numerous organizations and individuals,” Ms. Weaver said. “We’re excited to begin this partnership and help the growth of southern Delaware.”

The mission of Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce, which serves 10 towns in southeastern Delaware, is to develop and implement destination events, participate in advocacy efforts, and provide opportunities for networking, marketing and education, with the goal of improving member success and enhancing quality of life.

Through the new fund at the Delaware Community Foundation, the chamber can distribute grants to nonprofit members, including Beebe Healthcare, Millville Volunteer Fire Company, Santa’s Letters, Justin Jennings Beach House, Delaware Center for the Inland Bays, and Contractors for a Cause.
