By REHOBOTH BEACH — Uncle David’s Ice Cream Shop, 237 Rehoboth Ave., officially opened last Friday, July 19, and kicked off with a celebratory ribbon cutting followed by an open house with refreshments.
Uncle David’s Ice Cream Shop is the newest venture of Boardwalk Buddy Walk, which offers employment opportunities to individuals with Down syndrome.
Uncle David’s Ice Cream, inspired by David Samson, Sharonlee’s brother who also had Down syndrome, was launched in June 2023 with their mobile catering business.
