Rainey earns Bayhealth DAISY Award

Posted

Bayhealth’s Jillalison Rainey, RN, PRN, cares for patients at the Bayhealth Sussex Campus and has earned a DAISY Award for her high-quality care.

The DAISY Award is a “thank you” to extraordinary nurses. This program recognizes nurses who show compassion and determination through the care they provide. The DAISY Award honors the super-human work that nurses everywhere do for their patients along with their families.

Communication within health care is key; however, when a language barrier is present, it can be difficult to understand the needs of the patient and their loved ones.

Ms. Rainey was able to overcome all barriers and not only provided the patient with high quality care but was also able to put the minds of everyone present at ease.

“I can attest that Rainey made a difference to every member of that family, not just the patient,” said Ms. Rainey’s nominator.

DAISY Award honorees are chosen by nurses, administrators, peers, physicians, volunteers, patients, and families.
