Posted

Just a few stops remain in the Free County Summer Art Program sponsored by Dorchester Center for the Arts. Following five weeks of onsite youth art programs at DCA, the month-long August “road trip” has taken professional teaching artists and volunteers out into Dorchester County to share arts experiences with residents in communities throughout Dorchester. Programs are open to all ages with caregivers. Each session meets from 1-3 p.m., and all materials are provided. Stops include Cambridge, Hurlock, Secretary, East New Market, Church Creek and Vienna.

This Friday’s session will be held at the Community Center in Hurlock, at 220 Main Street. Next week, Monday takes the team to Friendship Park in East New Market, next to the post office. On Wednesday, the program will be held at Mandala Pie shop in Vienna, at 115 Old Ocean Gateway. The final session meets at the Neck District firehouse, 954 Cook Point Road Cambridge. Participants are welcome to attend any or all of the sessions.

Dorchester Center for the Arts is dedicated to enriching Maryland’s Eastern Shore community through high quality, engaging programming in the visual, literary, and performing arts.
