MLMS attends first Lego League Competition

SALISBURY — Mace’s Lane Middle School students attended the First Lego League competition on Dec. 10 at Salisbury Middle School. A total of 17 teams were present and only four advanced to the STATE championship to be held on Feb. 25, 2017.

Although they were not chosen to advance, they had a great time and came back to school eager to make corrections and adjustments for the future. The students demonstrated determination, perseverance, and positive attitudes during the entire experience. A big thanks to the parents, grandparents, teachers, and principal, who all came to support the students.

We are hoping to attend the STATE championship at UMBC as spectators to learn from and observe how advanced teams utilized their resources in an innovative way. This program is made possible from a grant through the Bryan Brothers Foundation which is part of the Mid-Shore Community Foundation.

The students in attendance were: K’lyn Downs, Isaac Copper, Stephon Brown, J’Kwon Jules, Coco Ni, Angel Andrews, Jasmine Walker, Logan Spicer, and Mrs. Tomey. K’lyn Downs, Isaac Copper, Stephon Brown, J’Kwon Jules, Coco Ni, Angel Andrews, Jasmine Walker, Logan Spicer, and Mrs. Tomey.
