Hyatt Regency to exclusively feature new RAR brew

CAMBRIDGE – Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay has partnered with RaR Brewing to introduce “Off The Rook,” a 5.8 percent ABV American Pale Ale sold exclusively on property.

Off The Rook is a full-flavored beer with citrus and tropical forward flavor, as well as a clean malt bill that pairs perfectly with the menus at all five dining establishments at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay.

Off the Rook goes especially well with seafood, as its subtleness won’t drown out the flavors of fish, crab, and shrimp. However, it is also bold enough to be enjoyed with a burger or spicy dishes.

“Since RaR opened, we have come to love Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay and the resort’s staff,” said Shawn Smith, director of Sales for RAR Brewing. “The premiere resort on the Eastern Shore deserved a custom brew so we created ‘Off the Rook,” which is very drinkable during Hyatt’s prime season, but also stands up well during winter months.”

“We are excited and proud to partner with RaR and offer ‘Off the Rook’ in our restaurants and also at Bay Country Market,” said Joel Bunde, general manager at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay. “The team at RaR took the time to get to know what was important to us, from flavors to naming the beer and tying the label design to our very own wildlife refuge, Blue Heron Rookery. Every detail was taken into consideration.”

Off the Rook is available on property at Blue Point Provision, Water’s Edge Grill, Bay Country Market, Doc’s Poolside, Michener’s Library, and Eagle’s Nest Bar and Grille. RaR Brewing opened in the summer of 2013 in an 80-year old former pool hall and bowling alley. These “local boys” now serve over 40 beers and counting from their 12-rotating tap draft system in their 46-seat taproom in Cambridge.

The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina is the premier four-diamond resort of the Chesapeake Bay. For more information on the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake bay, please call (800) 633-7313 or visit www.chesapeakebay.regency.hyatt.com.
