Nazarene Services

Grace UMC
Services at Grace UM Church in Cambridge are as follows: Sunday. 8:45 a.m. Early Morning Grace. Speaker, Pastor Dan Gedman. Leader: Gail Skinner.

9:45 a.m. Sunday School. Baraca Class. Penny Pink, guest singer. (Baraca Class live on WCEM-1240 AM). Dr. Hines Class. Shelley McCollister, teacher. 11 a.m. Worship. Speaker, Pastor Dan Gedman. Scripture: Mark 1:1-8. Message: “A Sermonic Beginning.” Sept. 10: 6 p.m. Dinner and A Movie featuring “God’s Not Dead.” All are welcome. Bring your favorite covered dish and a friend or two. Sept. 11: noon, Prayer Warriors for cancer service.

Sister to Sister
Sister to Sister is a women’s ministry of the New Life Christian Church and Ministries. The ministry meets the 2nd Saturday of every month with a themed event for food, fellowship and/or prayer. There is no charge and all are welcome.
Bring a friend and enjoy the fellowship. The church is located at 923 Phillips St., Cambridge. Bishop Weldon M. Johnson is the presiding prelate.

St. Paul’s Sunday School
The Gleaners Class of St. Paul’s UM Church in Cambridge will meet at 9:45 a.m. with Gloria Whaley having the devotions and June McKelvey teaching. The Richardson Men’s Class will meet at the same time with Phil McKelvey having the devotions and teaching the lesson.

Family & Friends Day
John Wesley UM Church on Liners Road will celebrate its annual Family and Friends Day at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 8.
The messenger will be the Rev. Darlene Dixon with the New Revived UM Church Choir and her congregation.
A light meal will be provided prior to the service. Host pastor is the Rev. Roslyn Watts. The public is invited.

Student Prayer Month
As the back-to-school season is upon us, September is a perfect month to recognize the exceptional efforts to be accomplished during the school year.
Everyone is invited to join the Rev. James C. Whitaker and Waugh Chapel United Methodist Church in offering prayer and other acts of faith-based support during the month of September for all our new and continuing students, their parents, school faculty and staff, school administrators and those who provide community services.

I’m Getting Ready
Agape Temple of Praise & Ministries presents I’m Getting Ready to celebrate our Youth Anniversary, 7 p.m. Sept. 6 for Hallelujah Praise and Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. for a Praise Party. Sept. 8 at 3 p.m. for an afternoon service.

Deacon/Trustee Day
Zion Baptist Church, 600 Cross St., Cambridge will celebrate its Annual Deacon/Trustee Day on Sept. 22 with two services.
Guest preacher at the 11 a.m. service will be Minister Joseph Wayne Wilson of Zion Baptist.
At 3:30 p.m. Pastor Jamaal Bivens of St. Mary’s Missionary Baptist Church in Princess Anne will bring the message.
The public is invited. A freewill offering will be accepted.

45th anniversary
On Sept. 28 at 5 p.m. the Christian Faith Community Choir will celebrate its 45th Anniversary at the Zion Baptist Church, 600 Cross St., Cambridge.
All choirs, soloists, praise teams and praise dancers are invited to participate. A freewill offering will be accepted.
The public is invited. Elder Craig N. Mathies Sr. is pastor.

Wesleyan Activities
The Cambridge Wesleyan Church is now offering two services. 8:30 a.m. Traditional service and 10:45 a.m. a Contemporary service. Sunday,

Noonday services
