Cambridge Waterfront Development Inc. has issued a 2023 Mid-Year Report to its stakeholder community.

CWDI’s 2022 Annual Report outlined six goals for it to achieve in 2023 that would advance the development of Cambridge Harbor. These included: Establish a Downtown Office, Launch a Website, Complete Public Amenity and Infrastructure Planning, Break Ground on the Promenade, Increase Mission-Critical Partnerships and Advance Financial Self-Sustainability.

“Progress on these goals has gone better than we had planned,” said Matt Leonard, CWDI’s executive director. “We want our partners to be informed.”

The 2023 Mid-Year Report is being issued electronically and is available for viewing on CWDI’s Cambridge Harbor website at cambridgeharbor.org. The report can be accessed directly using the following link: bit.ly/CWDIMidYearReport.

CWDI is a nonprofit development corporation formed through a joint agreement of the city of Cambridge, Dorchester County and the state of Maryland.

CWDI’s mission is to develop Cambridge Harbor in partnership with the community, to the benefit of the community, and to sustainably operate and maintain Cambridge Harbor as an inviting, accessible, active and enjoyable place to live, work, play and visit.

Cambridge Harbor is being planned as a highly activated waterfront district to include public spaces, amenities and events focused on promoting the city of Cambridge and Dorchester County’s multi-faceted history, heritage and culture while creating a unique destination for tourism.
