Twenty-two law enforcement officers from Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, Dorchester, Talbot, Caroline and Queen Anne’s counties graduated in the 89th entrance-level class of the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy operated by Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury.

Graduation exercises, which were held in the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, featured a commencement address by Justin Todd, chief of the Cambridge Police Department.

John C. Moses, director of criminal justice at Wor-Wic, Donald Rollyson Jr., assistant director of the ESCJA, and Rob Dell’Erba, ESCJA coordinator, presided at the ceremony.

Awards of certification and excellence were presented by agency representatives. Aaron Johnson of the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office was the class speaker.

In addition to Johnson, graduates included Matthew Mitzel and Griffin Torrence of the Salisbury Police Department; Anthony Bueno, Noah O’Barsky and Sean Wright of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office; Darrell Powell and Zachary Walters of the Delmar Police Department; Desmond Lake of the Princess Anne Police Department; Anthony Calabrese, Dylan Harlos, Jonette Miller, Sean Mills and Matthew Warner of the Ocean City Police Department; Tyler Baylous of the Snow Hill Police Department; Grant Ruark and Nohemi Verduzco-Cervantes of the Cambridge Police Department; Cordero Proctor and Mitchell Reeley of the Easton Police Department; Dylan Nepert and Trevor Singleton of the Caroline County Sheriff’s Department; and Nicolas Kendall of the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office.
