CAMBRIDGE — All eight of the instrumentalists from Cambridge-South Dorchester High School participating in the recent Solo and Ensemble Festival at North Caroline High School earned scores of II (Excellent) for their performances, qualifying each to receive a medal celebrating the achievement.
Amanda Bair, Luci Thomas, and Maggi Pantzloff each played a piece of solo music with piano accompaniment by Jenny Chen. Students Kobe Nichols, Christy Foxwell, Maximus Marshall, and Jose Gonzalez joined forces to create a saxophone quartet for the festival.
These eight students will also be performing at the Best of Maryland Arts Education Festival in Baltimore in late April.
