CAMBRIDGE—The Liv Again shop, on High Street in Cambridge, hung a showing of woven textiles by Chapuchi Ahiagble this past Friday. Ahiagble is a master weaver from Denu, Ghana. He was born into a weaving family, and sat down at his first loom at the age of nine, under the tutelage of his father, Gilbert “Bobbo” Ahiagble. The traditional Kente cloth designs are hand-woven in four-inch wide strips, which are then sewn together to form the completed piece. The exhibit can be seen in the upstairs gallery at Liv Again. All of the pieces are available for sale, and will be shown there for the rest of the month.
