TOWNSEND — An 84-year-old man died April 10 from injuries suffered in a motor vehicle collision last month, Delaware State Police said Sunday.

Charles Cook of Townsend was driving a Jeep Comanche that turned into the path of an Audi while traveling on Summit Bridge Road on March 23, authorities said. The Audi’s front bumper struck the right side of the Comanche, then the left side of a Chevrolet Silverado.

The drivers of the Audi and Silverado suffered minor injuries, while Mr. Cook was transported to an area hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.

The Troop 2 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate. Troopers ask anyone with video of the crash to contact Master Cpl. J. Forester at 302-365-8485, send a message to the state police Facebook page or contact Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-847-3333.
