Vascular surgeon joins Bayhealth practice in Milford, Milton
MILFORD — Bayhealth has welcomed board-certified vascular surgeon Dr. Luiz Araujo to its team of heart and vascular specialists at Bayhealth Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgical Associates.
Dr. Araujo is accepting new patients. He is based at Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus in Milford and Bayhealth Total Care, Milton.
He earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia. He went on to complete both an internship and residency in general surgery at Rutgers University’s Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, New Jersey. Dr. Araujo then completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore.
Before joining Bayhealth, Dr. Araujo worked for Vascular Specialists of Delaware and operated at ChristianaCare and Wilmington and St. Francis hospitals in northern Delaware. He holds board certifications from The American Board of Surgery in general and vascular surgery.
