HARRINGTON — Three separate traffic stops in just over 24 hours yielded drug-related arrests late last week, Harrington Police said Tuesday.

The sequence began at 9:54 p.m. Friday when police said a speeding stop led to the alleged discovery of marijuana in a vehicle on U.S. 13.

Officers approached the car and reportedly smelled an odor of marijuana and then conducted a vehicle search, spokesman Lt. Earl K. Brode said. According to police, a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located.

Dominique K. Harris, 23, of the 23000 block of Meadow Wood Court, was taken into custody and processed at Harrington Police Department. Police said he was issued a criminal summons for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and speeding and released pending a future court date.

Just over four hours after the first arrest, a 30-year-old Dover man allegedly was found with a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic violation stop at approximately 2 a.m. Saturday, authorities said.

Sean M. Schwappe-Both, of the first block of Garden Crest Road, was found through a computer check to have a suspended driver’s license, police said.

According to authorities, marijuana was located in Mr. Schwappe-Both’s clothing.

Mr. Schwappe-Both was issued criminal summons for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended or revoked license and failure to change address on license. He was released pending a future court appearance.

At 11:25 p.m. Saturday, police said, a patrol car traffic stop on Milford-Harrington Highway brought the arrest of an 18-year-old Greenwood woman. Initially, authorities said, an alleged traffic violation was detected.

Upon contacting Ms. Fitzgerald, police said, officers allegedly smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver was taken into custody without incident, police said, and taken to Harrington Police Department for processing.

Ms. Fitzgerald was issued criminal summons for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic offenses. She was released pending a future court appearance, police said.
