Three council seats up for vote April 1 in Blades election

BLADES — Polls will be open April 1 for the town’s 2024 municipal election, with four candidates seeking three council terms.

Candidates are Raymond Adkins, Susan Seitzer and incumbents Nancy McAdams and Donald Trice.

The council terms are for two years.

Voting is from. to 6 p.m. at Town Hall.

Individuals who are 18 or older on the election date, citizens of Blades and U.S. citizens 30 days preceding the election date are eligible to vote, provided he or she has registered in the town’s books of registered voters. The deadline to register was March 20.

Friday at noon is the deadline to vote an absentee ballot in person in the town office. All absentee ballots must be received by the election board by the close of the election.

In the 2023 election, incumbent Robert Atkinson retained the mayoral reins, while Garold Miller and William Stang claimed the two council seats in a three-candidate race.
