Posted

DOVER — Dr. Vilicia Cade, chief executive officer and superintendent of Capital School District, launches the new “Shadowing Senators for Improvement Campaign '' in which she will follow students and staff members of Senator Nation to understand better how to improve learning outcomes.

Starting this month, Dr. Cade will reorganize her calendar to prioritize dedicating significant time to visit schools and to visit various departments across the Capital School District.

She will continue already established weekly learning walks with leaders, monthly instructional rounds with leaders, and monthly District Support Team Visits in high-needs schools.

She will incorporate additional time to ‘Shadow Senators for Improvement.”

Dr. Cade formally invites students, parents (to nominate their student), and staff to allow her to shadow for a part of their day.

To this, Superintendent Cade will follow a student or a staff member with the expectation that she participates in their activities (when appropriate).
