I would like to thank the Delaware State News for its ongoing coverage of the issue of Medicare benefits for state of Delaware retirees. I am one of the state pensioners that was horrified first, then furious about the change in our health coverage being crammed down our throats.
I am very grateful for all of the people that have helped however they can, but the one thing that bothers me the most at this point is that, when I contacted my legislative liaisons, I didn’t get an answer from one of them. Not one, and there has never been an acknowledgment of responsibility from the people that made the original decision, and we all know who they are.
And there has never been an apology. Those simple courtesies could have brought a lot of goodwill. Now, I don’t trust any of them.
