Speak Up: Response to question on issues for Dover candidates?

Dover’s municipal election takes place April 18. The mayor faces a challenger, as does the 1st District councilwoman, plus two candidates are running for the 2nd District seat. Among the issues prioritized by the candidates in response to a Delaware State News questionnaire are the city’s crime rates, improving the downtown area and increasing affordable housing. What priorities do you have for Dover’s elected representatives?

  • What is planned to accommodate low-cost activities for seniors? The room to participate is dwindling. Example: Dance class had approximately 80 seniors. While this is great attendance, it’s like a box of sardines for moving around to enjoy it. Please don’t forget about us seniors and our needs, as more seniors are moving to Delaware every day.
