Speak Up: Milford residents mixed on homeless shelter proposal

Dozens of residents gathered at Jan. 22’s Milford City Council meeting to express their divergent opinions about a plan to build small, pallet-style houses for the homeless population at an undetermined location. Currently, Milford does not have a shelter to provide services for the unhoused, instead relying on churches and other organizations to reach those in need.
- It doesn’t seem like a good fit for Milford. No rules on sober living for the residents and amnesty lockers provided, where they are able to store contraband. — Eric Amodeo
