For many, Thanksgiving comes with a four-day break from work. But not all have the luxury of enjoying parades, feasts of football and hot dinners at home with family. It’s a sacrifice made by on-duty first responders, some of whom were treated Nov. 23 by Blessings for Badges — a group of thankful community members that teamed up to provide hot meals and appreciation to hundreds of police, fire, paramedic and correction officers in Kent and Sussex counties.
