HARTLY — Troopers are investigating a home invasion that occurred near Hartly early Tuesday night.

State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said the incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Pearsons Corner Road when a 15-year-old male answered a knock at the front door. When the teen opened the door he was confronted by a black male armed with an unknown type handgun.

Police the male suspect ordered the youth to the floor and covered his head with a blanket. Before his face was covered, the youth observed a second subject enter the house and go into his bedroom.

When the two left the residence, the 15-year-old called 9-1-1. Troopers were told the only items taken were computer devices and a cellphone.

Police said investigation indicates the home invasion was not a random act.  According to Cpl. Fournier, the victim may have been targeted.

One of the male suspects was described as black and wearing a black mask, jean jacket, gloves and allegedly armed with a handgun. No description of the second suspect was given.
