Letter to the Editor: Dr. Pillsbury is the right prescription for Dover

Dr. Julia Pillsbury is my choice for Dover City Council’s District 1 seat. And those of us who live outside of that district understand that what happens in our capital city both reflects and affects the entire state.

Why Dr. Pillsbury?

First, as a practicing pediatrician who has lived in District 1 — along with her husband, Dr. Jim Pillsbury (a dentist) — for so many years, she has a profound knowledge of the needs of the area’s residents of all ages and backgrounds.

But just as important is her passionate caring for Dover and its residents.

Having owned a business in Dover for so long, she also has the necessary experience for efficiently and effectively running a service-oriented organization for both the good of the people and the positive growth of the organization.

So for the good of District 1 and all its residents, I support Dr. Julia Pillsbury in the upcoming election Nov. 16.
