Posted

MILTON — The Greater Milton Chamber of Commerce and the Milton Lions Club of Delaware cohosted Friends of The Milton Community at The Rookery Golf Course.

Wendy Coverdale, Milton Lions Club, said, “It is important to bring our local nonprofits together. This gives special organizations an opportunity to share information about what they do for members our community.”

Attendees were able to communicate with nonprofit representatives active with the chamber regarding future volunteer and support opportunities.

“Our Chamber of Commerce creates opportunities for regional nonprofit organizations to tell their stories, circumstances, and challenges they are experiencing. The important work they do is a part of the fabric of daily life in our community and we are here to help.

"We look forward to cohost this event next year with the Milton Lions Club and coordinating more nonprofit events in the future,” said Karen Falk, executive director of the Milton Chamber of Commerce.

All nonprofit organizations are welcome to join the chamber and participate in chamber sponsored events and festivals. The Chamber’s nonprofit membership fees range from $50 to $100.
