Glanden, Wiater win in Frederica town election
The town of Frederica held elections Saturday for the mayor's seat and one position on Town Council.

William "Chick" Glanden won the mayor's seat in Frederica on Saturday, garnering 65 votes versus 25 for Connie Summers.

FREDERICA — Longtime Mayor William “Chick” Glanden retained his seat during the town’s election Saturday.
Also, the one Town Council opening was won by Board of Adjustment member Adam Wiater.
Mayor Glanden, who has led the town for 20 years, beat out Connie Summers in the race, 65 votes to 25.
Running for the council seat along with Mr. Wiater was incumbent Virginia Simpler.
One vote separated the two, with the challenger winning 45-44.
