DOVER — The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate a fatal crash involving a motorcycle that has resulted in the death of a 21-year-old Felton man Friday.

Tyler R. Pack was pronounced dead at Bayhealth Kent General Medical Center Friday afternoon.

At approximately 1:03 p.m. Friday a 2008 Nissan Altima operated by Poler M. Oliveros, 24, of Frederica, attempted to cross over the westbound lane of Del. 10, also known as Lebanon Road, to enter the on ramp of Del. 1 southbound near Dover Air Force Base. A 2005 Yamaha YFR operated by Mr. Pack, 21 of Felton, turned onto Del. 10 from U.S 113 (Bay Road) southbound and, according to police, weaved from the right lane in between vehicles in both lanes and accelerated westbound on Del. 10.

Police said he motorcycle’s front struck the passenger side of the Altima south of the Del. 1 on-ramp. The Altima then rotated clockwise and slid to a stop in the middle of the roadway. Mr. Pack, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle onto the road.

EMS personnel took Mr. Pack to Bayhealth.

Mr. Oliveros was properly restrained and not injured.

The westbound lanes of Del. 10 were closed for approximately 2.5 hours as the crash was investigated and cleared.
