DOVER — The golden years are certainly still golden, especially when you feel prepared, supported and connected. Are you ready to enjoy an event of discovery, networking and empowerment?

Mark your calendars for April 11, as the Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce presents its 23rd annual 55 Plus Expo. This event promises a day filled with invaluable resources, engaging activities and enriching experiences, all tailored to enhance the lives of our vibrant age 55-plus community members, their caregivers, their families and the next gracefully aging generation to come.

Hosted in the Bally’s Dover Rollins Center (1131 N. Dupont Highway) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the chamber will bring the region a free event full of vendors and exhibitors to support 55-plus residents, local businesses and the communities that support them. At the heart of this gathering is the mission to foster a sense of belonging, well-being and fulfillment among individuals 55 and older in central Delaware. We are excited to continue this legacy for its 23rd year this April. The expo stands as a testament to this dedication, offering a platform where attendees can explore a multitude of opportunities designed to support their physical, mental and social vitality.

Take advantage of free health screenings, free parking, giveaways and a designated wellness section. The 55 Plus Expo is not just for people over age 55; it is also for the ecosystem of families and businesses that support Delaware’s fastest-growing demographic. Attend to forge meaningful connections with fellow citizens and local organizations committed to supporting the 55-plus population. Or attend to enjoy live performances, interactive exhibits and raffle prizes in a lively atmosphere. Take charge of your health and well-being by participating in informative workshops, fitness demonstrations and wellness screenings. Gain access to a diverse array of exhibitors, ranging from health care providers and financial advisers to leisure and recreational organizations.

Potential exhibitors and sponsors: There are so many benefits to participating in this show, like increasing brand exposure, reaching a target audience, establishing valuable leads, networking with neighboring businesses, directing market research/feedback, showcasing your products and services, and walking away knowing you are being of service to people who need your work, which is invaluable. Act now, as there are limited booth spaces and sponsorship opportunities available.

The chamber’s 55 Plus Expo is not just an event; it’s a celebration of life, learning and the limitless resources that await you in your golden years. Whether you’re a returning attendee or experiencing the expo for the first time, we invite you to join us April 11 for connections and information that can help you live your best life. Admission is free, but the experiences and opportunities you’ll encounter are priceless. Don’t miss out on this chance to enrich your life today and the golden years to come.

The chamber would like to thank our expo sponsors (as of March 22):

  • Wellness Center Gold Level — Bayhealth.
  • Gold Level — Delaware Department of Health and Social Services and UnitedHealthcare.
  • Silver Level — Aetna Medicare Solutions, the Delaware Department of Insurance’s Delaware Medicare Assistance Bureau and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware.
