DAGSBORO - The 10th Annual Town of Dagsboro Christmas Parade will be held Tuesday, Dec. 12, starting at 7 p.m.

The parade lineup is at the back entrance of Indian River High School on Main Street Extended starting at 5:30 p.m. It will end at the Dagsboro Fire Hall on Clayton Street, where Santa will meet with children and find out what they want for Christmas.

The rain/inclement weather date is Wednesday, Dec. 13.

Serving as this year's Grand Marshal is 2023 Miss Delaware Emily Beale, who grew up in Dagsboro.

“We are honored to have her come back home to take part in this year's parade,” said Dagsboro Mayor Brian Baull.

Also in this year's parade is Sherman the Shorebird, the loveable mascot of the Delmarva Shorebirds.  Sherman was in the first Dagsboro Christmas Parade 10 years ago.

Presenting Sponsors for this year's parade are Pieces on Main, Marvel's Portable Welding, Morse Home Improvement Roofing & Siding, the Clayton Theatre, American Legion Post 24 and Studio 26 Salon.  Associate Sponsors are Bethel Methodist Church, Jayne's Reliable and Savannah Discount Liquors.

Parade entries are being accepted until Tuesday, Dec. 5.  Entry forms can be downloaded from the Town of Dagsboro website (under the "Community" tab at the top of the page) or by sending a request to DagsboroChristmasParade@gmail.com.
