Our home. Our property.
They mean so much to us!
So, naturally, we want to protect them. And that’s why the best qualified person to serve us as Kent County’s recorder of deeds matters. That’s why “experience before politics” matters. And that’s why Eugenia “Gene” Thornton, who has the experience and the education — and great ideas to improve services for us — is the best candidate to vote for Nov. 8 (or via early voting or absentee).
Gene is certified by American University in public records, and she has a master’s degree in public administration. She has 27 years of experience keeping public records as a soldier in the U.S. Army. And she served 13 years as a Kent County planning commissioner.
With your vote, Gene wants to prevent title theft with new software; eliminate common interest community (homeowners association) recording fees; stop the scrolling of official homeowners’ property data on social media platforms; stop tacking on/increasing recording fees; push back against high real estate transfer taxes; and see that the office phones are answered and taxpayer queries are addressed in a timely fashion.
You can find more information on Gene’s website at eugeniathornton.com.
And please scroll to the bottom of your ballot to vote for Gene Thornton, the best qualified to serve your needs well as your Kent County recorder of deeds.
Thank you!
