My suggestion would be to put the Atlantic Fields shopping center on U.S. 113, between Millsboro and Georgetown. The new North Millsboro Bypass is now open, and there is plenty of land on that highway corridor for a shopping center of this size.
This corridor already has a BJ’s Wholesale Club, a Lowe’s and other stores in a shopping center. The eastern part of Sussex County cannot take any more large shopping areas. Traffic is bumper to bumper all year long on Del. 1. There is no more peak season.
The Del. 1 corridor already has three large Tanger Outlets locations, a Walmart and various smaller shopping centers. The Bed Bath & Beyond storefront could be filled before adding more stores. Just my thoughts.
