Contrary to Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” push about the extreme disarray of our country and his opinion that we are a Third World country on the verge of collapse, here are the facts:
Meantime, the infrastructure plan has given us repaired roads and bridges, chip plants and more industry at home. Also, the cost of insulin for seniors is capped at $35, and more people have health care insurance than ever. This is hardly the “Mad Max” country Trump describes.
In summation, we are doing better than any other country in climbing out of COVID-19, and that is reality, thanks to Joe Biden’s leadership. (See Paul Krugman, “The Matrix of Consumer Discontent,” The New York Times, July 9, and Simon Rosenberg, “Hopium Chronicles,” July 10.)
