Some Smyrna School District employees are seeking increases in compensation after three years without them, but negotiations must come first. It’s a process, however, that has stalled since residents rejected an operating referendum March 15.
- Nope. I’m tired of all my bills going higher! Find another way than passing yet another referendum! These kids are still graduating stupid! Go back to basics and teach these kids! You all are off more than you work. Kids have more in-service days than I did! Then, you get summers off, winter break, spring break, etc. Make it make sense. I have an idea: Cut the high-paying administrative positions that aren’t needed! That would save a bundle! — Danree Heath
