Speak Up: Senate passes high-capacity magazine ban, restoring stricter language axed by House

Thank you! We must do something to help stop the madness. — Merv Sparks
What shooting in Delaware do you think this bill will stop? When do criminals follow the laws? — Jeff Grzeszczak
Exactly. They don’t. — Richard Benson
It’s to help protect my right and others’ to be safe in public and not have to walk in fear of being shot. — Merv Sparks
You do know, in the state of Delaware, the police have no obligation to protect you. You truly are on your own to protect yourself. I also find it ironic that you fear a law-abiding citizen. But law-abiding citizens fear people like you who try and stop people from protecting themselves. — Jeff Grzeszczak
I don’t know what you’re on, but you have things mixed up. The police are to serve and protect. They take an oath to do so and should be respected as such. I’m a gun owner, and yes, I can protect myself as needed, but I call on the police when I do need help. Responsible gun owners should want and expect others to be responsible, but unfortunately, that’s not always the case, so we need rules, regulations and laws in place to help protect others and help keep them safe. — Merv Sparks
How about enforcing gun laws already on the books? — Bob Beckman
Please tell me what criminal will not procure a 30-round magazine or turn it in, sell back, etc., because Delaware passed a law. — Bob Hice
The left is harming law-abiding citizens. — Howard Gaines III
Another political, feel-good bill that will be meaningless. How is the acceptable magazine size determined? — Philip L. Puschel
