- I love Delaware, and I believe that the vast majority of our elected officials serve with integrity and an honest desire to do what is right for the people of our state. However, our forefathers had the good sense to put checks and balances into our system, and so should we. There needs to be some sort of oversight of those in power to ensure that someone doesn’t slip off the straight and narrow. More especially, there needs to be someone with the ability and the authority to stop them if they do slip. — Ruth Ashby
