Speak Up: Kent County’s Wheeler’s Park comes full circle

Kenny and Nicole Shinn live in a house on Harrington Avenue, right in front of the former Wheeler’s Park. “We bought the property back in 2008 and closed on Halloween, but we had to finish out our military careers,” Ms. Shinn said. “So, while we did that, we rented the house out.” The couple recently hosted their second annual Wheeler’s Park Open House and visitors could still see many of the old Wheeler’s Park structures, like the concession store, pavilion and wishing well.
