Speak Up: First marijuana commissioner confirmed by Senate

The Delaware Senate voted unanimously June 21 to approve Robert Coupe, a longtime law enforcement leader who has held numerous positions in government, as the state’s first marijuana commissioner.

Gov. John Carney nominated the former Delaware State Police colonel and Department of Safety and Homeland Security secretary to oversee Delaware’s marijuana market June 12, nearly two months after the governor let cannabis legalization and regulation become law without his signature.
