Speak Up: Dover restaurateurs receive industry honors

Posted

Restaurants are the places people go to for birthdays, fundraisers, anniversaries and to mourn someone’s passing. Many people get their first job experiences at local eateries, as dishwashers or busboys. Mr. and Ms. Forbes have been bringing people together in their restaurants a long time. They opened their first in 1977, with the late Bob Comollo of Smyrna. The Forbeses own and operate Cool Springs Fish Bar and Restaurant, just a few doors down from Restaurant 55 in the same plaza. Twelve years ago, the couple started their fourth restaurant, helping their adult daughter, Desiree DiAntonio, and her husband, Dwayne DiAntonio, open Restaurant 55 on South State Street in Dover.
