Dover Motor Speedway has become renowned for hosting NASCAR’s premier Cup Series racing circuit ever since it opened its gates in 1969. It has a long history of legendary winners on the “Monster Mile,” including Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Richard Petty. However, starting next year, the site will host a different type of car event, when Goodguys Rod & Custom’s Mid-Atlantic Nationals takes place June 7-9.
