  • People need to remember this come November and vote. — Jack Evans
  • You think the Republicans can control gas prices? — Dale Bert
  • They can put pressure on the president to open our own resources that we had in the last administration. — Jack Evans
  • We already have them open. The U.S. is producing more oil now than it did for 30 out of the 48 months the former president was in office. And the projections are that oil production will reach new records by the end of this year. — Dale Bert
  • Joe did that. — Robert W. Dowd
  • Complain to OPEC. Biden doesn’t control pricing. — Susan Glenn Lambert
  • Lots of people forgetting that Trump brokered a two-year deal with OPEC and Mexico for one of the largest production cuts in history in 2020. He did this as he was still downplaying COVID and telling everyone that the economy was fine and things would be back to normal soon. Luckily, this disastrous deal ends either this month or next month. — Gary Smithsonian
  • I think you forgot the nuance of what was happening at the time. The Saudis were in a price war with Russia and started flooding the market with oil. This caused the massive drop in price that started to bankrupt domestic oil producers and cause dangerous backlogs in refining. At that time, cutting back production stabilized prices and allowed the U.S. to remain profitable in the world market. You seem to forget that oil use was down dramatically due to COVID lockdowns worldwide. Trump may have been an idiot about a lot of things, but that wasn’t one of them. — Jake Phil
