With Senate approval recently, Delaware’s lawmakers are poised to expand access to medication abortions, as other states are moving toward further restrictions. House Bill 320 passed by a 14-7 vote along party lines and would allow physician assistants and advanced-practice registered nurses to prescribe abortion medications.
- Can we focus on expanding affordable medication access? How about more over-the-counter drugs that don’t require a prescription — like basic antibiotics? Instead of things that don’t affect 99% of people? Little distractions here and there that are essentially pretend legislation. — Beth Gallagher
