Delaware food prices up 11.2% since last year
Delawareans are finding that clipping coupons and shopping for deals are not putting much of a dent in the exorbitant cost of groceries when they make their trips to local food stores. “Oh, you can feel it in the wallet,” said Rene Thompson of Clayton, while loading groceries into her car at Food Lion in Smyrna. “You have to make choices nowadays — maybe back off on the bacon and get more of the bologna.”
