The long-debated medical-aid-in-dying bill was signed into law by Gov. Matt Meyer on May 20, marking a historic moment that makes Delaware the 11th state and 12th U.S. jurisdiction to offer end-of-life options to terminally ill residents.
- The bill signed by Gov. Matt Meyer is not a positive option nor a Christian option. No matter how kind or sweet it may look, humans are not animals like dogs, and humans have souls. It is a way of killing a person with kindness. Only our Creator has the right to take our lives, according to his plan for each one of us. Therefore, I am not in favor of the new law signed May 20 by our governor. — Marian Darcey
