Speak Up: COVID drug Paxlovid widely accessible in Delaware

Posted

The COVID-19 treatment Paxlovid is now available at 146 locations across Delaware, according to the federal government’s Test to Treat program.

The antiviral drug made by Pfizer has been strongly recommended by the World Health Organization. Studies from the manufacturer showed it can help reduce the risk of serious illness due to the coronavirus.

  • How much have Pfizer and all the D.C. bureaucrats profited during this circus? Why are stats no longer published? Why is Fauci retiring all the sudden? — Bob Hice
  • The stats are out there if you actually look instead of complaining about it. Fauci is retiring because of people like you making up fake news. — Charlie Harper
  • With all due respect, I recently had a pacemaker installed and got COVID right after. I have had all my shots and boosters for COVID. The worst of the symptoms lasted for one day while I was on Paxlovid. To be frankly honest, I don’t give a whit who gets rich on Paxlovid. I paid nothing, and I am feeling much better. I am not sure what “stats” you are talking about, but every death and sickness is public. Every organization that continues to require masking is a public notice, as well. As for Dr Fauci, please show your respect for the man. He has been director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for 38 years. His leadership has been crucial in preventing the loss of millions of lives. — Jody Sweeney
  • Every time you take these tests, you are supporting China. Stop it. — Laura Wing
  • Excuse me? How is taking a test supporting China? Taking a test is for yourself only, unless you are reporting the results to some organization. Testing helps the person to determine when the disease is no longer in you. It doesn’t make you not infectious, but best to know than not. — Jody Sweeney
  • Read the insert inside the test kits. Made in China. American money is buying the test from China. — Laura Wing
  • At this point, I don’t care! Tests show how many people are trying to do the right thing to eradicate this disease. If an American company could make the tests, we would. Stop trying to downplay COVID as some conspiracy. — Jody Sweeney
  • There is nothing in your house from China? I think not. — Charlie Harper
