Speak Up: Breakthrough booster COVID cases number 2,100

Posted

There have been a little more than 2,100 breakthrough COVID-19 cases in Delaware since Dec. 1, 2021, among individuals who received a booster/additional dose of vaccine, the Delaware Division of Public Health said.

  • Unvaccinated should be that … not vaccinated. No shot, not put in the same category as one shot, two shot. No booster means not vaccinated? They need to stop confusing people. Are they vaccinated or not at all? — Jennifer Buckson
  • There is no more such thing as “fully vaccinated.” The new lingo is “up to date on vaccine,” and this will require continuous vaccine boosters. — Beth Bailey
  • Give us numbers of vaccinated health care workers that are out sick. — Laura McDowell
  • It is a lot. They need to also report the number of unvaccinated health care workers that are testing negative weekly! — Laura McDowell
  • I saw the variant is 75% less chance of going to the ICU and 91% less deadly. To be 91% less deadly than a virus that only has a 0.013% mortality rate is no reason to lock everyone up again and mandate masks! — Samantha Alice Morris
  • Who is locked up? Are you? Is someone keeping you home? Do you need us to call the Delaware State Police!? — John Smith
  • Follow the science they say, until the science doesn’t fit their narrative. Then, just do as I say and don’t ask questions. So why are we all being told we have to wear them again? — Kime Rutledge Hill
  • Who wrote the Facebook headline? In the story is this important fact: DPH director Dr. Karyl Rattay said at this week’s COVID-19 press briefing that 70% of Delaware’s COVID-19 hospitalizations were unvaccinated. — John Smith
  • Stop calling them “breakthrough cases”! They are cases. Period. Good grief, even the head of Pfizer has spoken and said that the shots do not work as well as they had hoped and that they are working on a new shot and called it “1.1.” — Alicia Thomas Carroll
