Delawareans who own solar panels can partake in net metering, a billing mechanism allowing them to receive credit on their monthly electric payments for putting excess power back into the grid. But, when utility companies began denying homeowners that ability back in 2021, lawmakers decided to take action during the 151st General Assembly — and that work will continue when they return to Dover this month.
