Solo: No Christmas joy for Palestinians

Posted

While Christians and Jews were praying, decorating, shopping, gifting, cooking, baking, feasting, singing, dancing and acting for Christmas and Hanukkah, malicious interpretations of their religions were causing countless people to support genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza.

While American Christian kids were waiting for Santa Claus to bring them toys, Palestinian kids were waiting for Israel’s military to kill them, with American arms, funding and support. While American Christian kids were leaving milk and cookies for Santa Claus, Palestinian kids were being starved and dehydrated to death by Israel’s military, with American arms, funding and support. While American Christian kids were singing Christmas carols like “Joy to the World,” Palestinian kids were screaming in agony after their families were killed by Israel’s military, with American arms, funding and support.

The U.S. supports Israel over Palestine not because of moral superiority but because of religious and ethnic bigotry and the pro-Israel lobby.

Countless Americans have been brainwashed into believing that Palestinians drew first blood Oct. 7, 2023, and that they deserve the current massacres. The truth is Israel has been massacring, ethnically cleansing and brutally oppressing Palestinians since 1948, but the only massacre the U.S. government cared about was the massacre of Israelis on Oct. 7. Americans need to study the history and fight to overcome the bigotry of their country.
