Smyrna High graduates 435 seniors on Saturday morning

SMYRNA — A commencement ceremony - the 140th in school history -was held for the Smyrna High Class of 2024 at Charles V. Williams Stadium on Saturday.

Class officers were president Kendall Wiley, vice president Amaya Stamper, treasurer Marion Mongare, secretary Kylie Jones and historian Hailey McCutchan.

The class of 435 seniors included valedictorian Max Santos and salututorian Khang Nguyen, who both earned Summa cum laude honors.

Earning summa cum laude for being in the top 5% of the class were Jude Bailey, Alina Bartlett, Isabelle Bernard, Levi Carre, Elise Carter, Paisley Cole, Suzanna Cordrey, Hailey Ennis, Halle Geiger, Thomas Herman, Allyson Holmes, Sudnee Holt, Tierry Julien, Reaghan King, Mackenzie Langton, Dylan Marcum, Haley McCutchan, Richard Michaud, Dru Moffett, Bianca Murtha, Madison Williams and Michael Womer.

According to the school’s Facebook page, “Seniors went back in time to their elementary schools and walked the halls one last time.

“We are hoping to establish this as a new tradition for Smyrna High. It was a great day for all involved.
