SMYRNA — Five candidates are vying for two spots on Town Council in an election April 30.
Current Councilwoman Valerie Forbes and challenger Alvin Pope are seeking the District 3 seat.
Also, incumbent Gerald Brown is facing challengers Dean Johnson and Justin Capps for an at-large position.
Both terms will run from May 2024 to April 2027.
Residents can cast votes at Town Hall, 27 W. Market St., from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Also April 30, the town of Clayton will hold its municipal election from noon to 8 p.m. at Town Hall, 414 Main St.
Candidates for two council seats there include Marvin Pedigo, Ryan Paisley and Mary Ellen DeBenedictis.
