Responding to the Daily State News’ Opinion piece, “Delaware House leaders respond to ‘Big Beautiful Bill,’” Delaware Democrats only have one major agenda: “Hate and destroy Donald Trump.” This explains why nothing is done to truly benefit Delaware citizens and taxpayers. The Democrats seem to be in a crisis mode and focused strongly on demonizing our duly elected president. This is one reason why our state is in trouble and will only get worse during 2025 and 2026.

The Democrats seem to be in a crisis mode and focused strongly on demonizing our duly elected president. This is one reason why our state is in trouble and will only get worse during 2025 and 2026.
The Democrats are not willing to focus on fighting for us, and this, sadly, seems reminiscent of the national teachers union, which demonstrates less real care about education failures that desperately need to be resolved than about attacking President Trump, who is actually working hard to resolve real problems faced by everyday citizens. But his beneficial actions are not known by many because the conventional media focuses on attacking President Trump and the Republican Party, instead of reporting anything good and beneficial done by either of them.
One example was in that Opinion piece from three of our Democratic state representatives. They repeated and repeated Democratic claims about the “Big Beautiful Bill” — i.e., they state that, because of it, people “will now have to navigate the loss of Medicaid, Medicare, food assistance programs, utility credits and other critical, federally funded initiatives.” Where is the mention that many “cuts” could actually be about inefficiency, repetition, etc., and in the case of Medicaid, that some “now ineligible” were never really legally eligible for the benefits they were receiving or that some were eligible to work but failed to take a job?
I pray the Democrats will wake up and turn their best efforts into meeting the real needs of the citizens of Delaware rather than politicizing. Our two U.S. senators and one U.S. representative have failed the citizens of Delaware because they follow along with the “turned-far-left” Democratic leaders instead of standing up for what is really beneficial for our Delaware citizens and communities in areas like quality education and safety.
